I picked up a camera for the first time at journalism school, in the middle of the 90’s. It was love at first sight: a completely manual Pentax K-1000 that weighed like a brick and jammed when I rewound the film. Even though back then I would not be able to put it into words, I know that it was the first time I realized the difference between looking and seeing. Photojournalism is the tool that I use to measure all things: that’s how I’ve learned to establish an eye-catching mise-en-scène, to capture meaningful action shots and to craft strong portraits.

A LONG SABBATICAL

I'm a Brazilian journalist and photographer who came to Spain just to study a masters... but then life happened. In the past 20 years I've learned to love all the beauty of this country, and from my home base in Madrid I can show you everything. I've got the best of both worlds: local knowledge and a foreigner's eyes. I never ceased to be amazed with all the history and culture that are pouring from every site, and I'm keen to share this with you.

As a travel photographer or just as a tour guide, I can be the ideal companion for your trip. It doesn't matter if it's just for a short walk through the medieval streets of the Spanish capital or during a road trip to some hidden gem in the Northern territories, where some of the most beautiful villages in Spain are waiting to be discovered by you. Trust me when I say that, in the end, you'll understand why I decided to stay.
